Scotland's Dougie Maclean returns to Australia in 2010 following a hugely successful run of shows in 2008 that took in a sold out Spiegeltent in Melbourne, headlining slot at Tasmania's Cygnet Festival and a show-stopping performance at the Woodford Folk Festival.
From his home base in Butterstone near Dunkeld in the beautiful Tay Valley in Perthshire Scotland, MacLean has built an international reputation as songwriter, composer and extraordinary performer which has led to concerts and festivals all over the world including New York's Carnegie Hall, Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall and London’s Festival Theatre.
MacLean’s songs have been covered by hosts of artists, including Paolo Nutini, Amy MacDonald, Mary Black, Frankie Miller and Grammy award winning country singer Kathy Mattea, and his song Caledonia has become one of Scotland's most popular contemporary songs.
