Music has played a prominent role in India's cultural heritage for centuries. Melodies and rhythms are key elements of Indian Music. Hailing from the princely state of Mysore, brothers Manjunath & Nagaraj will be performing the Carnatic style.
Known for their deep knowledge and imagination, India's foremost violinists, Mysore Brothers will be presenting a range of Ragas, Rhythms and Compositions from as far back as the 17th Century.
They will be accompanied on the Mridangam (double-ended drum) by the duo Arjun Kumar and Sridhar Chari. Both Arjun and Sridhar have been performing for over two decades and follow the Tanjore style of drumming which blends into the music.
