THE GIANTS OF WORLD MUSIC ARE COMING TO OUR STAGE!

This March and April, we're excited to bring you a selection of world music stars. Grammy Award winner Mamadou Diabate, renowned tabla player Bobby Singh and ARIA Award winner Jeff Lang unite as Djan Djan to present an intoxicating blend of African, Indian and Australian music on Fri 19 March.

In April, we welcome world-renowned Chilean folk singer and multi-instrumentalist Nano Stern, who will perform music from his latest album, Los Espejos (Wed 7 April); ARIA Award winning and internationally acclaimed band Zulya and the Children of the Underground (Sun 11 April) with music from their new album, Tales of Subliming, and; guitar master Bob Brozman (Thu 29 April).

And it's not all about world music; jazz, indie and theatre music are also on the agenda. "No one can sing and play trumpet as well as Neilsen", says Australian jazz icon James Morrison of Neilsen Gough, who will serenade Brisbane this Sat 20 March.

Comprising four mini musicals about the beauty and b*tch of being a woman is Megan Shorey's Handle with Care, which premieres in April. Also that month, Murder Ballads Chapter Two will bring together a collection of our city's finest indie bands to celebrate music from the dark side. Last year's first chapter sold out quickly and attracted rave reviews, so be sure to secure your tickets when Murder Ballads Chapter Two goes on sale this Wed 10 March.
